Attendees: Doug Lohmeier. John Ranz, Stiney Vonderhaar, Dave Nichols, Chief Korte, Chief Hauck, Jack Cameron. Mayor Apking, James Jeffers
I. Fire
• Hydrant re-location on G-M Road
• Chief Hauck requested $15,000 to relocate hydrant that has been damage several times in the last year.
• Injury on Duty update
• Chief Hauck advised the committee that he has reassigned personnel to reduce overtime due to injury
• 4015 G-M Rd update
• Chief Hauck advised the committee that the residence does meet square footage & ingress/egress requirements.
II. Police
• Chief Korte advised the committee the two ordinances addressing curfew on Village property and the teen dance club are still being reviewed by the solicitors office.
• There will be an ordinance to purchase the new cameras for the cruisers and additional brackets for the new speed awareness equipment
• DARE officer Eric Curry will be replaced with Greg Titgemeyer after 11 years of being the DARE officer at Evendale Elementary
III. Recreation
• Dave Nichols advised the committee he will be requesting a fund transfer from the fitness line item to the pool management line item.
IV. Other
• Jack Cameron informed the committee that the staff is recommending changes to the Drug Free Work place policy. He will have more information in the future.
• Mayor Apking addressed the committee about funding the demolition of the old Fifth Third Bank building on Glendale-Milford Rd. for an amount of $14,500
• Mayor Apking & James Jeffers addressed the committee with the turn lane deterioration on Glendale-Milford to enter on to I-75. The area will be removed and reconstructed with underground drainage. Additional estimates will be provided by the council meeting.
